What is MovieClub?
MovieClub is a social app built for people who want more from movies than just ratings. Join or create clubs, track your watching, make themed lists, discuss films with others, and earn collectible digital posters along the way. It’s a space for discovery, connection, and thoughtful conversation.

How is this different from Letterboxd?
MovieClub is about community. Instead of solo reviews and ratings, we focus on clubs and conversations. You don’t just log what you watched—you explore what it meant, with others who care just as much.

Do I have to join a club?
Nope. You can use MovieClub solo—log films, build lists, and share thoughts. But clubs unlock the heart of the app: discussion, collaboration, and a sense of belonging around shared tastes.

What are collectible posters?
They’re digital artwork tied to your activity in the app. Some you earn by finishing challenges. Others unlock through club milestones or themed watchlists. They're a visual, gamified way to track and celebrate your journey through film.

Is MovieClub available on iOS and Android?
Coming soon. We’re launching first on iOS in early September, with Android support planned to follow. Join our mailing list to get updates.

Will it connect to Netflix, Letterboxd, or other platforms?
Currently, we provide links to streaming services that show your desired movies, but we’re exploring integrations that would make importing your watch history or linking your streaming accounts easier. Stay tuned.

Is MovieClub free?
Yes. The core experience—joining clubs, logging films, collecting posters—is completely free. We may introduce optional premium features later, but the app is built to be open and accessible.

Can I start my own club?
Absolutely. Create a space around your favorite genre, director, niche, or vibe. Make it invite-only or let anyone join—your club, your call.
